Naked Truth

Naked Truth
By Deine Freundin

This is by far thee most varied story that I have ever tried to write.  I know it will not be to the liking of most of you readers, But I do hope you take the time to read it and leave me an honest opinion of what you think as to it's content and style.  I thank you in kind, beforehand.

"What does the world, told a truth, but lie the more" - Browning

"Truth indeed came into the World with her Divine Master, and was a perfect shape most glorious to look on ; but when He ascended, and His Apostles after him were laid to sleep, then straight arose a wicked race of deceivers, ....who took the virgin Truth, hewed her lovely form into a thousand pieces, and scattered them to the four winds." - Milton

Naked Truth
By Deine Freundin

Introduction

The virginal beauty of the unclothed teenager, shown through the dirt covered skin, was evident.  She appeared very much out of place as she walked solemnly down the cold cobble-stoned street.  Much like a fragile yellow rose in the middle of a violent thunderstorm. The citizens of the village froze in bemusement of the naked form that strolled among their presence.  Many pointed and laughed, others glared in anger, others took out their cell-phones and began taking pictures. One elderly lady approached the young maiden and promptly slapped her on her cheek, calling her several inappropriate and uncalled for names.

The young girl could not understand all this unwanted attention she was receiving in such a strange place with no trees.  The words spoken at her were strangely familiar,  she had not heard them in well over a decade.  She held her hand up to her face, covering the heat that radiated from the spot where the old woman had slapped her.  Tears welled up in her eyes and began flowing down her smooth tanned body.  She hung her head low, to hide her eyes from the ever growing crowd.

A few people seemed to care about how this beauty came to be in such a predicament.  One young man removed his jacket and tried to cover her nudity from the lecherous stares of many unkind faces. The girl, unfamiliar with such feelings on her person, brushed the jacket away.  Some one had called the authorities.  As they approached and began to disperse the unruly citizens, Sister Ursula blocked the way of the officers.  She walked towards the virgin child and cloaked her in her habit.  She informed the police, that this child will not be harmed today.

The girl felt warm and guarded by the comforting words of this oddly dressed woman that had wrapped her arms around her.  Sister Ursula walked the unknown child to the small church at the edge of town.  There she introduced her to Father Nicholas.

He informed the Sisters to bathe the child, dress her and bring her to him afterwards.

She stood still for the cleansing.  The warm water was soothing.  She couldn't ever remember such a calming feeling, other then the times she would dance around under the drops of a hot summer rainstorm with her companion protector.  How she missed him so.  The teen removed every piece of cloth that was placed upon her naked body.  It was obvious to the Sisters, this young girl had never worn clothes.  So as to not scare her more then she was, they gave up in the attempt to cover her skin.

Father Nicholas had a kind face.  The girl had a difficult time remembering what the look was, but he appeared to....Yes!....Her father had hair on his face, those kind eyes, that warm tone sound from the spoken words.  The words that she could not remember.  He spoke to her.  But, she could not understand.  Her responses came as little soft grunts and whimpers.

Father Nicholas asked, "Please do not be scared.  You are safe here.  No harm will come to you here.  Who or what did this to you?"  He noticed some scratches on her tone, tanned skin.  Scratches, that were hidden before under her filth covered body.  "Please talk to us.  You can tell us the truth."

Part 1

Truth was born high up in the mountains.  Her parents had escaped the hazards of a world that was becoming ever increasingly more hostile.  Technology was turning people into anti-social outcasts, not knowing how to interact with one another.  Society had turned against itself.  Long gone where the times when neighbour would help neighbour.  Instead a person would steal or worse kill another to get what that person had.  Greed, jealousy and many of the other deadly sins had turned the once heavenly little village where her parents had planted their roots, into a place they did not want to raise a family.

Truths parents, Hope and Courage retreated into the nearby heavily forested mountains.  No one ever ventured there.  Man's love of nature had long been replaced by modern conveniences.  Why go out and walk in the woods, when you could just step on a treadmill and pop in a DVD into a television and pretend to do so.  That way you wouldn't be put in danger of tripping on a root and spraining an ankle, getting cut by a thorn on a tree, having to swat away flies from your face or worse getting attacked by a savage wild animal.

Before she was born, her parents had built a small cottage, near a pristine lake and cleared a small plot for crops.  There they lived for many years.  The land providing for their every need.  The animals, even the most vicious ones on earth, had come to see the intruders in a different light.  They posed no threat to them, so two humans were left alone.  They mainly lived on vegetables and fish.  Every now and then an animal will pass away from old age, and Courage would take what he needed and left the rest for the scavengers of their peaceful realm.

During their long lives, away from everything that they once knew, they had shed all inhibitions and turned to a life of true freedom. During the many warmer months, there was no need for the restraints that clothes had on their bodies.  The weather in their region, never strayed from too far from one extreme to the other.  Except for the occasional morning dampness, there really was no need for clothing.  The cool winter air was still tolerable once the body became used to it.  It never snowed where they were, so there was no need for anything heavy.  On the cooler days, they would just drape an animal pelt over themselves and proceed with any chores that needed to be done outside.

While returning from working the field one day, Hope gave her husband some wonderful news.  He was going to be a father.  Overjoyed by the news, he quickly cut down one of the nearby pines and began working on a crib for the unborn child. By the time the babe was born, he had produced a hand made rocking crib and a stationary one.  Both made with love.  Hope had sewed some bedding out of various materials from their meager belongings, prettier than any patchwork quilt. They were uncertain about what to name the beautiful blue-eyed little girl.  Her blonde hairs already very evident.  To tell the truth, they never even talked about a 'name'....So that is what they decided to name her "Truth".

Truth grew up quickly.  By the time she was a year old, she was already walking.  She would accompany her father out into the fields, sit with their domesticated wolf, Sirius, and watch her father toil the land.  Courage rescued the wolf cub just before his daughter was born.  He was returning home one night, from a day long search of food.  A mother wolf had abandoned the little cub.  He figured she thought he was to weak to live. He decided to name it after the 'Dog Star' which he used to guide him to his beloved Hope.  Courage brought it home, against his wife's wishes.  But it soon grew into a large protective friend.  It seemed to know, that without this man's interference, he would have surely perished. When Truth was born, Sirius never left her side.

The tanned little sprite became one with nature. The animals would flock around her as she played, ran, swam and climbed trees.  For one that young, she became quite active, almost animal like herself.  Truths parents always thought their child was special from the start.  Their suspicions were confirmed one day as they saw her sit in the middle of a field surrounded by several fawns, bunnies, birds and various other creatures of the forest.  The scene could have been a poster for a Disney movie.

Truths eyes were as blue as the clearest lakes.  Her blonde hair sheen like the rays of golden sunshine on a summer morning.  When in her presence, her parents felt at ease.  As if their souls were eased of all tension.  Their love only reinforced the bonds between the three.  Gaia blessed the family with their small sanctuary.  Life was joyful, peaceful and blessed.

But all good thing must come to an end...and so was it to be for the nature loving family.  Evil prowls the land and unfortunately, eventually finds it's way to the most heavenly places.  When Truth was only four years old, she was out in the fields with Sirius and her father, when a gunshot was heard in the distance. The echos origin coming from the families homestead.  Courage ran to the cabin and was confronted with a group of scavengers.  The worse kind there were, Man!

Truth wanted to follow, but Sirius sensed a danger, one that he had never sensed before.  The smell was unknown to him.  He jumped on top the little long-hair girl.  Keeping her pinned, but yet calm until all was quiet.  A short while later, In the distance, another shot was heard.

To say Truth was a female version of Mowgli, is untrue.  She was a very intelligent young girl.  She and her wolf companion were pretty much left alone after her parents demise.  Over the years, she learned the way of the wolf, to be leery of unknown smells, to stay away from unfamiliar places.  She remembered what her father had done to keep the garden producing food.  She learned with Sirius's help to catch fish.  At times he would bring home small animals.  Truth knew enough to cook foods and the two were living a happy and serene life.

But again, evil was soon to visit their little hide-a-way.  Now in her teens and with Sirius becoming old, it was becoming difficult for him to get around.  But one lazy afternoon, the two of them were lying on the beach of their private lake, when Sirius propped up his head and sniffed the air.  It was a scent that he had not smelled in a very long time.  But it still registered in his memory.  He got up and ran to the cabin.  Truth knew something was up and tried to follow her beloved wolf.  She heard his growl echoing through the air.  Soon she heard a man scream, another shouting, a loud BANG, more growling, more screaming.....Then silence.

She arrived at the cabin and a scene of unforgettable horror for the young maiden.  A man's lifeless body was lying on the ground near the front door.  His throat had been ripped open.  A long wooden steel instrument was held firmly in his hands.  It was obvious this man had no time to react to what had attacked him.  Inside was another gory  scene.  This one made Truth cry in pain.  Her beloved hairy guardian lay in a pool of blood.  He apparently was able to tear apart the mans chest  and face, but not before the stranger was able to discharge his weapon at the beast that pounced on him.  Sirius must have used every bit of his strength to make certain these killers would not be able to ever hurt any member of his family again.  For it was that smell that triggered his animal instincts, to make sure his Truth would be safe.

Truth knew no spoken words of man, but howled as any creature would that had just lost a loved one.  She did not know what these men....actually, she knew nothing of Man or Woman, had over their bodies.  To her, their outer coverings seemed much like her blankets, except they were tighter on their skin.  She fell down upon her beloved Sirius.  At the moment, her world had stopped.

All emotions left Truths soul.  She walked for hours half asleep - half awake, unaware of her surroundings.  She drudge along until she fell, get back up and continue.  Minutes turned to hours, hours into days.  She would walk at night, she knew not why.  During the day she would crawl under a tree and sleep.  At night she would once again look up at the brightest star in the sky and walk in that direction.  As if something was pushing her.  Pulling her to follow toward it.  She felt warm at night, comforted by the star.

Several days later, she emerged from the protection of the forest and stumbled into an open field outside a village.  She knew not what this was?  This cluster of buildings, strangely similar to the abode of which lived in for over a decade.  Except there were so many of them, bigger and various types.  To her it was like another forest, stranger.  She actually felt an emotion unknown to her.  It was fear.  Without her Sirius, she was like a lonely lost child in a department store. There were animals with people inside, on trails made of rocks The morning sun had just come up.  It's rays should have heated the teens dirt covered skin.  She wished she knew what world she had stumbled into.  What were these creatures, similar to her, looking at her?  What were they saying to her?

She was alone, surrounded by many.
